WHY YOU SHOULD TAKE AND PASS JLPT?


Japanese Language Proficiency Test is a biannual examination that evaluates and certifies non-native speaker's Japanese Proficiency level. According to its website, it was first offered by the year 1984 through Japan Foundation and Japan Educational Exchanges and Services.

Due to its almost 25 years of existence, this examination is really well-known worldwide like in East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Oceania, North America, Latin America, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Middle East, North Africa and Africa.  Aside from this, the said two founding organizations made some revision to the examination to deal with the most advanced research in Japan's pedagogy and testing theories.

Since this examination is widely known, a lot of foreigners overseas are taking it together with the hope of passing it for their different personal reasons and majority of their answers are the following:

·        One of the requirements to take Japan's national exams for medical practitioners and assistant nurses- If you are a medical practitioner who is licensed overseas or a professional and wants to take Japan's national exam, JLPT N1 certificate is a basic requirement.  As for the assistant nurses, a JLPT N1 certificate is also a requirement and it is administered by each prefecture. Aside from these, here are the other professions that requires N1 certification: Dentist, nurse, pharmacist, public health nurse, midwife, radiology technologist, dental hygienist, dental technician, clinical laboratory technician, physical therapist, occupational therapist, orthoptist, clinical engineer, prosthetist, emergency medical technician, speech therapist, veterinarian
